So, God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (Genesis 1: 27-28)
I have made you for one purpose alone: to be in my image. That purpose remains no matter what people choose to do with their lives, and that purpose will be fulfilled in every person willing to embrace and follow Jesus, my living image and my living presence upon the earth. Mankind is meant to be my image bearer and Jesus is the first fruits of what I mean you to be. You are my child and you have so many things in your spirit that are in the image of what is in mine. You are not here to improve yourself or to earn points with me, you are here to be my vessel as I fill you with my presence. I am transforming you into the image of my son. Always be ready to give a good answer to others in love; always be willing to treat another’s time as more valuable than your own. Always see every encounter as an opportunity for them to come into contact with my presence. If you will stay filled, I will always overflow into the lives of others. Nothing more is needed. My grace, my unmerited love and favor, is the evidence of what I am doing in the world, so look for grace and you will see me working in the world around you.
