“Therefore, keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’” (Mark 13:35-37)
My command to watch for my coming is not given to make my children afraid, but to make them alert. The greatest danger that comes against my church is not spectacular evil, but a spiritual lethargy where people stop looking to see what I am doing in the world around you. You are not watching for my return, for I am here with you every moment, you are watching for my coming; looking for those things that only I can do when I come into the lives of other people. Learn to seek me during the day and you will find much more evidence of what I am doing in the world. What I say to you I say to everyone: watch!
