“Real wisdom, God’s wisdom, begins with a holy life and is characterized by getting along with others. It is gentle and reasonable, overflowing with mercy and blessings, not hot one day and cold the next, not two-faced.” (MSG)
Real wisdom does not begin with experience, but with a holy life. To be pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit; impartial and sincere — that is the origin of wisdom that comes from above. Without these elements of character, great foolishness will take hold of my church. The way to call people back to wisdom is not to argue ethics or politics, but to call them back to that holy life. Only a change in lifestyle will deliver the church from the seeds of destruction that have been sowed in her. Only a transformation of character can open the eyes of those who have abandoned Godly wisdom for the wisdom of this age. O my children, come back to purity and peace! Come back to mercy and fruitfulness! Come back to impartiality and sincerity before foolishness overtakes you!
