My kingdom, not only in heaven but on earth as well, is made up of people who resemble children. Not childish people, but men and women who have learned how to be dependent upon their father and who have rediscovered childlike joy and innocence and awe and wonder. No matter how hard a person tries to be righteous, they must change and become like little children to enter my kingdom. Understand that the costs of moving deeper into my kingdom at this time in your life is to become more childlike in your motives and in your lifestyle. I have enough managers in my kingdom, what is needed in this generation are many more children.
“One day children were brought to Jesus in the hope that he would lay hands on them and pray over them. The disciples shooed them off. But Jesus intervened: Let the children alone, don’t prevent them from coming to me. God’s kingdom is made up of people like these. After laying hands on them, he left.” (Matthew 19:13-15 MSG)
