“Worry, anxiety and fear are powerful weapons that the enemy uses to get people to compromise, or give up, or protect themselves through the worship of money … at the root of disobedience is almost always the root of worry and fear. As the reality of the pandemic sinks in, many people are consumed by worry over the future or how they will provide their families with the necessities of life. I want my people to learn to have victory over worry, not through emotionalism or even through self-control but by learning to see their lives from a different perspective. 1. To realize that life is more than just paying for the stuff. In this life, there is beauty and creativity that is free for the taking if my people are willing to become like little children. 2. To realize that my kingdom is among them, and they can enter into that place of community and family and love. 3. To realize that worry is almost always in the future, and by focusing on the now, it can be brought under control.” — May 6, 2020
“Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? … So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6: 25, 31-34)
